Marfa Inspirational is a somatic art retreat to the West Texas borderlands. The space between Big Bend and the Davis Mountains.

We go to enter into the space, enter the void of all that is, and all that is possible.

The blocks begin to float away, and there we are with paint on our hands - dirt in our toes- howling, writhing -offering ourselves to this divine force that moves through us. Unique to our hands, our bodies, our eyes, our voice, our experience. And we give her the space to create, do yoga,  get somatic and let our bodies tell her story.  Our practice becomes catalyst for all ways we are  ready to create the life we want to live again.

The West Texas Desert is calling again. Do you wanna answer the call?

This year we are feeling Love in our body’s flow, and Peace in her divine expression! What would it be like to be creative and to be seen? To let our bodies play and dance and laugh and chill. To just be. To roll in the grass, make art, drink Topo Chico, laugh with your friends, sing out loud, talk to the desert and listen for her echoes.

We will drop in and explore what creative mediums communicate her desires. We will get curious what form she takes when she feels safe enough to express. We will make space to experience steadiness. And we will practice living tenaciously! 

This women’s art + somatic experience will be set against the earthy texture of the desert during the Summer Solstice. The desert as its own container for extremes, we will explore our edges in so many delicious ways. How does your creativity create when you let it come thru you?

We explore our creative porcess, surrendering to the trust it takes to be in it. When everything feels unknown, when the pressure seems on to take some sort of action, what parts of ourselves can we make space for?

What parts of us speak this sort of truth that makes space for the next right step?  It is an experiential process that we explore thru the nervous sytem lens, from the body's desire, from the creative connection and meditation of our minds.

We step into our practice of expression. We will explore nuance, somatic tools for giving our body a voice. We will invite in the lightness of this proces and we will make space for what wants to be expressed. In the desert on the summer solstice, we will howl under the starry sky.
